The 5ive Pillars Organization was founded in response to the Afghanistan crisis in August 2021, dedicated to welcoming migrant newcomers in the San Francisco Bay Area. With a volunteer-driven board and support team, many of whom have migration and refugee stories themselves, the organization provides a unique and humane approach to aiding the resettlement of refugees and migrants.
Immediate essentials have been provided to newcomers, including clothing, personal protective equipment, and school supplies. Key programs like the Connecting Newcomers Program and the Afghan Youth and Family Engagement Support Program offer free Chromebooks and tutoring to K-12 students, ensuring a brighter future for the youth.
