Our Story
In December 2006, the United States’ Department of Justice awarded a three-year federal grant to the Fort Worth Police Department to develop a Human Trafficking Unit. After the grant expired, the unit continued with just one detective. In 2014, Felicia Grantham, a dedicated employee of the Fort Worth Police Department, initiated a community conversation to unite law enforcement and key stakeholders in addressing the needs of victim services and at-risk juvenile runaways. This conversation quickly grew, leading to the official sanctioning of the Tarrant County 5-Stones Taskforce in 2016, aimed at combating domestic minor sex trafficking.
