Our Story

42 Strong was established to honor the legacy of Tate Myre, who tragically lost his life along with three other students on November 30, 2021. This heartbreaking event highlighted the urgent need for mentorship and support for at-risk youth. Tate was passionate about personal growth and helping others, and through this program, mentors in grades 10-12 connect with mentees in grades 7-9, fostering essential relationships that guide young people through their formative years.

By building strong peer-to-peer relationships, 42 Strong enhances connectedness to family, peers, school, and community. The program promotes resilience, self-esteem, and overall well-being among participants, creating a supportive environment for youth development.
