Our Story

412 Food Rescue was founded to combat food waste and hunger in Pittsburgh and Southwest Pennsylvania. By utilizing technology and community engagement, surplus food is redirected from retailers to those in need.

Impact

Since its inception, over 34 million pounds of surplus food have been rescued, providing more than 28 million meals to food-insecure individuals while significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
