Our Story

Founded in 2003, 25:40 is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to saving children impacted by HIV/AIDS and poverty in southern Africa. Inspired by the teachings of Jesus, particularly Matthew 25:40, the organization focuses on the rural areas of South Africa’s Eastern Cape Province, a region plagued by extreme poverty, high incidences of HIV/AIDS, and violence against women and children.

The Eastern Cape, especially the Transkei region, is one of the poorest areas in Africa, with over 72% of its population living below the poverty line. In response to these challenges, 25:40 collaborates with the Small Projects Foundation and the Canzibe Mission to implement comprehensive, community-based programs aimed at identifying and supporting orphans and vulnerable children (OVCs).

Our Impact

25:40 is committed to providing at-risk children in the Eastern Cape with essential support. Currently, the organization operates three aftercare sites in the Nqgeleni District and one in Port Alfred, serving over 100 children.
