Our Story

Founded in El Sereno, California, in 2018 by Armando Ochoa, 1 Plastic Life aims to combat the devastating effects of plastic pollution in our cities and oceans. Armando's journey began in the construction industry, where he witnessed the overwhelming amount of plastic waste generated. This experience ignited a passion to address not only environmental issues but also the growing problem of homelessness, as many of his friends faced unstable living conditions.

Our Impact

1 Plastic Life's greatest achievement is helping individuals transition from homelessness to stability. Through our job training program, we have successfully assisted one participant in securing both employment and permanent housing. Our goal is to extend this support to hundreds more over the next 5-10 years.
