Our Story

Founded in 1982 in Cleveland, Ohio, Youth Opportunities Unlimited (Y.O.U.) addresses the critical need for job opportunities among teens and young adults aged 14-24 in under-resourced areas. With over 40 years of experience, Y.O.U. has evolved from a summer job initiative into a comprehensive workforce development organization.

Impact

Each year, Y.O.U. serves nearly 5,000 young individuals, equipping them with essential skills through summer and year-round jobs, internships, and industry-specific training. A 2021 study from Case Western Reserve University highlights that participants in Y.O.U.'s programs are more likely to graduate high school and less likely to engage in criminal activities.
