Founded in December 1995 by a dedicated group of volunteers led by A&M Professor Dr. Dale Whittaker, The Children’s Museum of the Brazos Valley was established to provide a vibrant space for children aged infant to 14. Since opening its doors in April 1998, the museum has evolved, aiming to build a dedicated facility by 2025 to enhance its educational offerings.
Serving over 45,000 visitors annually, the museum plays a crucial role in delivering educational programs and community outreach, especially to underserved families.
