Our Story

The Ronald McDonald House of the Four States was established to provide a comforting home away from home for families with children who are ill or injured. Inspired by the first Ronald McDonald House opened in Philadelphia in 1974, this local chapter in Joplin, Missouri, was initiated by Bob Jennings in 1996 to support families during their children's medical treatments.

Impact

Since its opening, the Ronald McDonald House of the Four States has positively impacted countless families by offering a supportive environment during challenging times. Essential services provided by the house remove barriers to care, allowing families to stay close to their children receiving medical treatment.
