The Durham Rescue Mission was founded in 1974 with a singular goal: to mend shattered lives and restore families. As Durham’s oldest and largest long-term homeless shelter, it has been a beacon of hope for countless individuals in need. The mission provides essential services such as food, clothing, training, and Biblical counseling to broken men, women, and children in the Durham, Raleigh, and Chapel Hill area. Open 24/7, 365 days a year, the mission stands ready to serve.
