Our Story
Founded in 1970 by concerned residents, the Orleans Conservation Trust (OCT) was established to preserve the beauty and seaside charms of Orleans. Over the past fifty years, OCT has successfully stewarded more than 700 acres of woodlands, wetlands, and shorelines, ensuring these natural spaces remain intact for future generations. The Trust's mission has evolved to not only protect open spaces for habitat and recreation but also to help the community adapt to the changing climate. Through the creation and maintenance of trails, guided walks, and educational programs, OCT fosters a deeper understanding of the local environment.
