Our Story

Established in 2012, Love the Hungry, Inc. is dedicated to providing nutrient-rich meals to alleviate and reverse malnutrition, especially in vulnerable children. Co-founded by Dale and Tonja Oelker, the organization engages volunteers of all ages in hands-on experiences to combat hunger. Initially partnered with Resurrection Lutheran Church, Love the Hungry now operates from a permanent Packaging Center in Louisville, Kentucky, and has packaged over 8.6 million meals with the help of 48,000+ volunteers.

Our Impact

Love the Hungry has provided over 8.2 million meals to children and families in need, focusing on delivering Nutri-Plenty® meals to vulnerable populations in 41 countries, including local assistance in Kentucky and Southern Indiana.
