Our Story
Founded in 2018 by Wisconsin business leaders Katherine Gehl and Austin Ramirez, Democracy Found emerged from the innovative 'Politics Industry Theory.' This theory, articulated by Gehl in her book, The Politics Industry, and her TED Talk, identifies the challenges within the political system and proposes solutions like Final Five Voting. Ramirez, a former White House Fellow, recognized the need for reform and joined forces with Gehl to advocate for this transformative voting method in Wisconsin.
