Founded in Rochester, N.Y., Compeer has expanded to an international program with 50 locations across the U.S., Canada, Australia, and the United Kingdom. The organization believes in the healing power of friendship, aiming to reduce loneliness and isolation through meaningful relationships.

Compeer has trained over 5,000 individuals in Western New York in Mental Health First Aid since 2014, successfully matching countless volunteers with clients. This essential support has made a significant difference for individuals facing mental health challenges, earning recognition as a model program by the National Institute of Mental Health.
