Our Story

African Mission Healthcare was founded in 2010 by Mark Gerson, Rabbi Erica Gerson, and Dr. Jon Fielder to strengthen mission hospitals across sub-Saharan Africa. The organization focuses on providing essential resources and support to local healthcare systems, ensuring that communities in greatest need receive quality medical care.

Impact

Since its inception, African Mission Healthcare has supported over 1.2 million direct patient visits and trained 26,480 African health professionals. With an investment of $22 million in hospital infrastructure and equipment, the organization significantly improves healthcare access and outcomes in the regions it serves.
