Our Story

Since opening its doors on February 3, 2003, Abundant Life Ministries Hope House Incorporated has been a beacon of hope for children in foster care. Co-founder Sandra Shank, inspired by her experiences in the Miami-Dade County Public School System, recognized the urgent need for a nurturing environment for motherless and fatherless children. The home quickly became a sanctuary for teen boys from diverse backgrounds, providing them with the love and support they desperately needed. Under Ms. Shank's leadership, ALM-HHI has expanded its services, becoming a Community Behavioral Health provider through Medicaid and planning a 30-unit Permanent Supportive Housing Development for teens aging out of foster care and low-income families.

Impact

This year, ALM-HHI will host its 6th Annual 'A Christmas To Remember' event, bringing joy to 350 children and youth in Flagler County who are in the Dependency System or from families in need.
